This summer, if you are going on vacation by plane, a new solution is available to you for your trip to the airport: use a shuttle. This is the kind of service that is developing a lot in Wallonia, and in particular in Liège.
I prefer the trip to be more comfortable, safer
Cyrielle is returning from a business trip to Spain. She landed in Brussels. And rather than taking the train, she used a shuttle service to reach Liège: "The bus, the train, it's sometimes unreliable, and I prefer that the trip be more comfortable, safer, and arrive safely in a short time".
Catherine Robert created the CharLi shuttle service only 3 months ago. Shuttles that connect the airports of Brussels or Charleroi and the Guillemins station: "It came from a joke between two girlfriends, one of whom travels a lot internationally, who realized that there still had some flaws in the comfort of travel".
Rather expensive car parks near airports. Planes that often leave very early or very late. Remains the solution of friends or family. Not always the best. Catherine Robert: "Asking your neighbor to drive you at three in the morning to the airport is not very comfortable, especially since you are certainly indebted to this neighbor".
Requests are pouring in unbelievably
So that's what decided Catherine Robert and her partner to get started. Price of the trip: between 20 to 30 euros per person. The two women have only three months of hindsight but for the moment, they do not regret anything. And they are convinced of it : the service will develop : "We see the requests flowing in an incredible way and we see the progress being made from month to month".
Over the past two years, the number of officially registered collective taxi companies has increased by 15% in Wallonia. Most of them serve airports.

Following the rapid development of the activity, the daily processing team requested the development of a tailor-made tool, in order to offer a processing time of less than 5 minutes per request. The objective is achieved after 9 months of development.
Revival
In 2021, CHAR-LI, powered by the activities of GROUPE SELION, will establish connections with all Belgian, French, German, Dutch and Luxembourg airports. The very long distance P&C assistance service (> 1500.00 km) is officially launched.

Face au développement de la pandémie du COVID-19, Madame Collinet décide de remettre l'activté. Monsieur Dubois et le GROUPE SELION srl. ( www.selion.be ) intervient afin de refinancer l'activité et la préserver en période économique incertaine.
Development
Au cours de l'année 2019, le service se développe et ajoute à sa liste de destination l'aéroport de Bruxelles.
Establishment
On February 19, 2018, Madame Robert and Madame Collinet founded the company CHAR-LI sprl., providing the link between Liège and Charleroi airport.
